Did you know women who had pre-eclampsia are more likely to get heart disease later in life?

Be Healthe for your Heart provides women who had pre-eclampsia with advice and support to build healthy lifestyle habits to help stop heart disease later in life. The 3-month online program focuses on healthy eating, physical activity, body weight, and stress management.

Researchers from the University of Newcastle, Australia are conducting a research study to find out whether Be Healthe for Your Heart is effective. Volunteers will be randomly allocated to receive Be Healthe for your Heart or to a control group. They are seeking 90 women, aged 18-45 years, who had pre-eclampsia within the last 4 years to take part. Volunteers must also be able to visit the Callaghan campus of the University of Newcastle on 2 occasions over 3-months.
