Our guest speaker Professor Annetine Staff, preeclampsia expert from the Oslo University, Norway, spoke about about long-term strategies to limit the later life consequences of preeclampsia. This webinar was chaired by AAPEC’s own Professor Shaun Brennecke AO and Dr Padma Murthi, who are also both experts in the field.

Professor Annetine Staff is based in Norway, where she combines work as a full-time University of Oslo Professor and a part time Consultant and Head of Research in the Division of Gynaecology and Obstetrics at Oslo University Hospital. Professor Staff received a medical doctor (MD/PhD) degree at the University of Oslo in 1987. Her PhD thesis in medicine at the Medical Faculty, University of Oslo was in 2000, with the title “Preeclampsia and uteroplacental tissues: lipids, oxidative stress, and trophoblast invasion”. Professor Staff’s current research interest is to look at long-term strategies to limit the later life consequences of preeclampsia.
