Siphiwe Mkandawire
AAPEC General Committee Member
Based in Perth, Western Australia, Siphiwe brings both personal experience and professional commitment to her role on the AAPEC Committee.
Siphiwe’s connection with AAPEC began after the birth of her first son, when she sought to understand preeclampsia following a complicated pregnancy. After experiencing preeclampsia again with her second son, she felt compelled to give back to her community. She joined the Committee to help amplify AAPEC’s mission, leveraging digital platforms and community engagement to increase awareness, improve access to reliable information, and offer support to women and families across Australia.
Her lived experience drives her desire to support other women through awareness, education, connection and to encourage women or family so they don’t feel alone.
Siphiwe currently works in IT and has built a career focused on IT service delivery, Business Partnering and now in Cyber Security.
